Forgoing personal relationships on the grounds that they would impede upon her life's goals, she excelled in her educational endeavors, eventually acquiring admittance into Harvard Medical School. Upon completion of her residency and subsequent hiring at Princeton General Hospital, she applied for a fellowship position under the renowned Dr. Gregory House. Despite her overall success in the application process--she was among the final four applicants--she lost the position and continued her employment at Princeton General.
